Celebrities with youngsters who tower over them like Gary Barlow’s son Daniel, 24

Other than the US election results, the topic of conversation that has dominated social media in the last 48 hours is, quite unexpectedly, Gary Barlow’s son.

Daniel Barlow, 24, was pictured alongside the Take That hitmaker, 53, positively dwarfing his dad and the rest of their family, and the internet has reacted.

Memes have spread like wildfire in a perfect distraction from the political news that has seen Donald Trump re-elected as the 47th President of the United States.

We thought these were two separate online conversations, until Trump’s son Barron, 18, stood up alongside the Republican, and everyone was also struck by his lanky build – all 6ft 7in of it.

Gary – who rose to fame alongside Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Jason Orange, and Howard Donald in the legendary boyband – and his wife  Dawn Andrews, 54, tied the knot in 2000, welcoming their eldest child Daniel in the same year.

They also share daughters Emily, 22, and Daisy, 15, who don’t appear to have the same stilts as their 6ft 2in brother.

While Daniel has reached the height of fame in the past few days – excuse the pun – here are some other kids who also tower over their famous parents.

Former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan’s son Dylan Brosnan has some serious inches on his famous dad.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a growth spurt in recent years, and is now looking down on Pierce and his wife Keely Shaye Smith.

Dylan has followed in his dad’s footsteps into the acting world with credits producing TV series The Synanon Fix, and has also worked on 2023 film Sly, and 2017 film Poisoning Paradise.

According to IMDb, he’s 6ft 5in, against Pierce’s 6ft 1in.

Patsy Kensit and Liam Gallagher’s son Lennon Gallagher

EastEnders star Patsy Kensit and Liam Gallagher’s 25-year-old son Lennon Gallagher has taken after his Oasis star dad in the height department.

At 6ft, the model has overtaken Liam’s 5ft 10in stature, and is definitely a whole lot taller than his actress mum Patsy, who is 5ft 4in.

Patsy and Lennon were pictured out and about together in September at JW Anderson’s catwalk presentation, and he towered over his mum.

Both of Julianne Moore’s children

Julianne Moore – who starred in Boogie Nights, Far from Heaven, and Maps to the Stars – has two children who have a serious tall gene.

At 5ft 3in, Julianne, 63, could hardly be expected to be the tallest in her tribe forever, but her kids – Caleb Moore Freundlich and Liv Helen Moore Freundlich – now dwarf her aged just 26 and 22.

After meeting her 6ft 2in husband Bart Freundlich on the set of the 1996 film The Myth of Fingerprints, the pair married in 2003 after welcoming their two kids.

Caleb is pursuing a career as a musical composer, songwriter and instrumentalist, while Liv graduated from Northwestern University earlier this year.

Jennifer Garner’s daughter Violet Affleck

At 6ft, Violet Affleck is taller than her PS I Love You star mum Jennifer Garner, 52, but four inches shorter than dad Ben Affleck.

It’s unclear what career path 18-year-old Violet might take, but she just began her first year at Yale having moved away from her family home.

Jessica Alba’s daughter Honor Warren

Jessica Alba’s 16-year-old daughter Honor Warren is already taller than her.

The Fantastic Four star, 43, also shares Haven, who will be 13 in August, plus youngest son Hayes, six, with husband Cash Warren.

The actress told People in June that she cried when Honor grew taller than her.

She stated: ‘Okay, so it was throughout Covid and our associates had been over, and it was sort of like they had been about to have a child, and he was like, “Honor’s taller than you” and I used to be like “No she’s not!”‘

Mum-of-three Jessica continued: ‘He was like, “Sure she is… Stand back-to-back,” and he took this photograph and I simply began crying.’
