Assault suspect Elias Njau
A businessman who’s accused of stabbing his confederate numerous situations has been arrested over tried murder allegations levelled in opposition to him.
Elias Mutugi Njeru, the first suspect inside the tried murder of Florence Wanjiku Gichohi, turned himself in alongside his lawyer.
“The suspect surrendered at Nakuru Police Station inside the agency of his lawyer from Gakuhi Chege and Associates Advocates,” the Nationwide Police Service (NPS) acknowledged.
The suspect was re-arrested by police and positioned in custody, pending investigations by officers from Menengai police station.
The tried murder was reported at Kiamunyi Police Publish in Nakuru on Friday. Preliminary investigations established that the sufferer was attacked by her boyfriend Elias Njeru Mutugi, who will also be her enterprise affiliate at Indigenous Land Properties Restricted.
“The incident occurred at their rental dwelling in Olive area following dwelling wrangles. She is at current admitted to a hospital in crucial scenario,” police added.
The assault has been condemned by leaders from the county who’re calling for a speedy dispensation of justice for Wanjiku.
“We’ll stand with the family and when the protection brokers are carried out with the investigation, we volunteer on skilled bono to hold short-term for her family,” acknowledged Gender Principal Secretary (PS) Anna Wangombe.
It is the latest in a sequence of comparable assaults which have left many maimed and others ineffective.
